getting drains out!       The spot above the incision is where some skin ripped off with the tape. ouch.   the skin here is very "dog ear-ish." i'm hoping it flattens out with time.   my crotch companion.

2 WEEKS Since Surgery

we're watching footloose. I woke up for the ultimate dance scene.       lright nipple. this is really gross. and hurts. see journal.   left nipple.   left side. the reddish part is where the drain was.

right side. the skin is still weird. but the drain sight is healed.   number one guardian.

No pix of the sides because i didn't want to take the tape off... next week!

right nipple. MUCH better. just one scabby spot left.   left nipple.

the full frontal. apparently between now and the next 4 weeks the incisions/scars will look the worst they will ever look. (redest, widest, etc.)   right nipple. looking better everyday.   left nipple. (that's a zit to the upper left, i mean right, whatver)   left side   right side. the pucker looks like it's going down a bit, but the dog ear is very visible.

Three Quarters View. You can see the "dog ear" a little bit in this one.   last scab finally came off. This one gets hard now too! you can't really see how the nipple sticks out in this pic...   lefty.   left side. notice the huge difference is scar tissue development since last week.   right side is flattening out more.

I had to take this weeks pix solo, so sorry there's no head on shot folx.
the baby!!!

full frontal   righty - it's hard in this picture.   lefty - semi hard.   the scarring on both sides, looks pretty much the same as it did a month ago.   i hope it starts to lighten up...

the scars are INTENSE.   righty   lefty       this is the dogear side. i don't know why the hell they call it that.

here, have some sass.       cuttin' some rug, flatchested.   and don't you forget it.

1 Year and 3 Months Since Chest Surgery ... See February 22, 2010 Journal Entry

frontal - arms raised so you can see the 'dog ear.' (gawd, i hate how they call it that!)   nipples... good close up of the ole dog ear in this one   can't feel much, but they get hard and soft.   side scarring has gone down dramatically   dog ear side is a lil poochy.
It's hard to believe this is a year's worth of change, but the scars have faded a lot. they are still keloided (mostly on my right side, which i think was from not totally taking it as easy as i should have been those first few weeks), but much of the redness has subsided. the contour is practically perfect, minus some excess skin/tissue/fat around the dog ear part. It's interesting that the vertical scars are almost completely invisible, yet the horizontals keloided. hmmmmm...
and i'll leave you on a millhouse note...
